Children in Tanzania especially suffer from Malaria, but also from worms and various forms of diarrhea resulting from the lack of hygiene: The drinking water often comes unfiltered from wells and rivers. Broken bones and diseases like Polio and Meningitis, which do not state any danger in the Western industry countries, threaten the children's health. Furthermore, children often suffer serious burn injuries from open fire places.

To refrain the children from the required treatments and surgeries means an acute danger to their life.

Most families in Tanzania have many children and cannot afford medical treatment for their youngest kids. Lack of a proper health system puts the burden on the families in need - this is why many families wait too long or have no access to hospital treatment at all.

With its project „Truly. Help. - Tanzania's children" Blessed e.V. aims to provide children up to 5 years of age with

• medical treatment  at the Ndolage hospital (up to  ca. 20 € per child)
• hospital lodgment (2€ per day)
• food for children that lack respective family support.

In summer 2007, Blessed e.V. established personal contact with the Ndolage hospital through Blessed e.V. team member that worked there. This led to a relation of trust with doctors, nurses and the hospital administration of Ndolage which is an essential condition for successful collaboration over time.
